Prairie Springs Hunting Preserve

Waterfowl Hunting at Eagles Nest
Prairie Springs guided waterfowl hunts on prime North Plate river property located just west of Broadwater, Nebraska.  The property offers multiple blinds with access to main river flow, a separate channel and warm water sloughs.

Typical Waterfowl Day

Your guide will meet you in Broadwater each morning and explain how the day will run.  You will follow in your vehicle to the hunting site where you will begin setting up the decoy spread and preparing the blind for hunting.  Once the hunting area is ready to go and everyone is in place your guide will present a safety session.  The safety session will explain everyone's responsibilities during the hunt.  As the morning dawns the ducks will begin flurrying up and down the river banks.  Shortly after that the geese will begin to rise and head for their morning feeding grounds.  During the activity of birds in flight your guide will cook and serve a hot breakfast.  Most hunts will end after a noon lunch where you begin picking up the site.  This will allow you to have an afternoon nap or take in an afternoon of pheasant hunting on Prairie Springs Hunting Preserve.
